Private House in Highgate – Basement Extension

2004-2006

For conservation reasons, extension of this grade II* house was possible only in the basement. The project was designed to this brief, to provide all areas otherwise missing or inadequate in the small house. The concept was to create a contrast to the existing 19 century cellular Victorian house with a new 21st century open basement, hidden and invisible from outside (thereby fulfilling planning regulations).
