Loft Extension in Ealing
2022-25
This project involved the creation of a loft extension to a two-storey terraced house in Ealing. Conceived as a circular space organised around a central free-standing wardrobe unit, the design prioritises fluid movement and the generous use of natural light.
Upon entering the loft, the owner is greeted by a calm bedroom area featuring two double doors on the rear façade, overlooking the garden. Beyond the central wardrobe unit lies the bathroom, arranged as two distinct zones: a bathing area with both bathtub and shower, and a basin area from which a separate WC and two storage rooms are accessed.
Two large roof windows flood the interior with light, lending the space a sense of transparency and enhancing the circular flow that contributes to its overall feeling of openness.
Porcelain tiles were selected for the bath area, while the remaining spaces are finished with warm timber flooring.
We also designed a lighting scheme.
