The old kitchen had units along all four walls. We reorganised the space by covering one wall with units from floor to ceiling, leaving other three walls free. We were then able to create a big island in the middle, and the ability to move around it. One side is raised and serves as an eating area. This and the access to the windows, produced a very compact but fluid space which feels much bigger.

We also worked with fabrics: silks for the blinds and the bay window seat.
