The commission was to unify two huge apartments into a single maisonette. The project is: to open up the wall in the front room on the ground floor, extending the sense of space with a vista to the back garden, and achieving a horizontal connection; and to remove part of the floor in the back room to connect vertically with the lower ground floor and allow more light to a enter this otherwise dark space.
